A team of 5 riders will be heading for a one day race in Mumbai, India, on february 21st. It's the first time in history India will host a UCI cycling event. The 100 km criterium in the city of Mumbai attracts some top cyclists with a big cash purse of USD 100 000.- for the winner. Jaan Kirsipuu and Mart Ojavee have been training in Nice, France for the past few weeks while the Swiss and German riders predominantely preferred to train in Central Europe. Mumbai is only the start of a series of races in Asia in the early months of the year. Further upcoming events are the OCBC criterium in Singapore on March 7 and the Tour of Taiwan from March 14 to 20.
